heading to the mountains

A few photos from May Day. The funniest thing we saw that day was the street sweeper that followed right behind the last of the sheep, quickly removing any dejections left by the passing sheep. I over heard that last year, the village business owners complained about sheep poop, so this year it got sweeped up as fast as it popped out. I doubt that the street sweeper will follow the sheep all the way up to the mountain pastures, but I have fun imagining a scenario...

...four wheel drive sweeper follows sheep up a rocky mountain trail, keeping it clean all the way....

I had no idea it would be such an event! I pictured a lone shepherd in suitable outfit, driving some sheep in front of him . . .

Is that an elephant in the middle of the sheep? I think it's lost.
